Leaving on a jet plane...

Torchwood made me sad, so very sad. The last episode actually wrenched my heart out and stabbed it several times. I couldn't contain my sobs at all. I found the whole thing heartbreaking.

spoiler cut )

Anyways, Torchwood rant over. The last couple of days have seen me frantically trying to get everything together in time for going away to Portugal tomorrow. Friday after work I spent roughly 2 hours running around the shops that were still open, trying to buy a few things to wear whilst away. I did manage to get a few things; my favourite being a skirt (yes, a skirt!) from Next. Tis nice!

Today I went and had my hair cut. It's short! Like just above the shoulders! Gonna take a while to get used to it, lol. But it should, hopefully, be more manageable in the heat, lol.

More holiday prep chatter )

So yeah, that's about it. I probably shan't update again until I get back from Portugal. So yeah, hope everyone has nice lives for the next week, lol. If there's anything major going on, I'm still contactable by text. I don't think it costs any extra to send abroad; it certianly doesn't for me since Vodafone have KO'd their roaming charges this summer, hooray, lol.

So yes, until a week Monday, when I shall hopefully update again :)

EDIT!! I FORGOT TO SAY...MY TAKING BACK SUNDAY TICKETS ARRIVED THIS MORNING!! :DDD

July 10th, 2009

I am absolutely gutted about what happened in Torchwood. I have declared, more than once so far, that if RTD ever sets foot in Smiths again while I'm there, I will quite gladly throw his SFX magazine at his face. Hard. Booo at you Rusty! D:

In other non-Torchwood related news, I saw Blood: The Last Vampire this evening. It was shite, but then I was expecting it to be, so I pretty much enjoyed it, lol. An hour and a half of pretty girl saving other pretty (yet annoyingly shrieky) girl from evil, demonic, creeptastic things. With the tiniest shreds of story and backstory shoved in, lol. The blood looked weird though D:

In other other non-Torchwood related news, I finished 'Paint a Vulgar Picture' this morning. This being the short stories collection inspried by The Smiths. Some of the stories were brilliant, others not so, but mostly it was a diverse mix of some of the most bizarre stories I've ever read, lol. I wrote a fairly long review for it over at my Goodreads page. I fully recommend it to all of you :)

Anyways, I am cutting it short tonight as I am tired. My eyes really freaking hurt today. Had to even take my lenses out, bah. Night peopels. 'Til tomorrow and the awfulness that'll be the Torchwood finale *sniffle*

July 9th, 2009

OMFG TORCHWOOD HAS BEEN BLOODY BRILLIANT SO FAR! I AM SO INTO THIS 5 PART STORY. I THINK IT'S A GREAT WAY TO SHOWCASE A SHORT SERIES.

I shan't leave any proper review type thing tonight. That'll come Friday night after I've seen the finale and wept BUT OMFG! SO FUCKING AWESOME! :DDD

In less fandom type news...

...OUR HOLIDAY IS BOOKED! I'M GOING TO PORTUGAL ON SUNDAY, FOR A WEEK! I honestly can't wait even if I will be hiding from the sun the whole time. I just really need a week to sit and do nothing but read books, listen to music and sip cold drinks, lol. It should be great! :D

In less awesome type news...

...I went to the Doctors again today. Discussed my blood test results. I'm clear on every level - yes, even fucking anaemia, I can't quite believe it - except one. Apparently they found an abnormally high reading in conjunction with my kidneys. So they took another blood test today (to see if it was just a one off) and also a urine test (yuck). So they're gonna get in touch when my results come in. Hopefully it's nothing hideous D:

Anyways, it's nearing 1am and I have to be up at 7am for work at 9am, so I better go get my pjs on and get some much needed sleep, lol. Cinema tomorrow! Going to see Blood: The Last Vampire. Bet it'll be shit but an hour and a half of mindless, vampiric entertainment, lol.

July 5th, 2009

This is the London, Blur entry of doom! So um... strap yourselves in, lolol. Oh and disappointing lack of photos, I'm afraid. My phone decided to have just one bar of battery left and I didn't have my camera with me, so alas, no photos :(

Woohoo! Well I feel heavymetal. Woohoo! And I'm pins and I'm needles. Woohoo! )

See, I told you it was gonna be an entry of doom! Lol. Kudos to anyone that read all that, haha. I'm gonna go straighten my hair now. Then make tea, eat some chocolate and try and write some fic. I totally haven't given up on writing 'My Holiday Romance'. It's my aim to get a chapter up this week. Wish me luck. Gonna need it, since Torchwood is on every night this week, omg! yay!! :DD
Long update about London and Blur and stuff coming up tomorrow, but for now I just wanted to mention this:

I've been waiting years for Kakashi's Gaiden to be included in with the anime series and finally it's happening! :DDD

Technically I've not watched any Naruto for aaaages. Like I think the last one I watched was episode 91 or whatever (of Shippuden, of course, lolol) But *glee* I will be watching Kakashi's Gaiden, man. I gave up on them ever making it and finally finally it is happening! Sooo happy :DDD

June 30th, 2009

So the last two days have been hard.

I went to the doctors yesterday morning, as planned. I got there at 8:30 but wasn't seen 'til nearly 10 (the downsides of a drop-in surgery >.<). I had a good chat about my migraines and my more recent lightheaded episodes and chest pains. She (the doctor) took my blood pressure (three times! and it kept getting higher each time, lol I am fucked), and she also checked my chest/lungs/etc. and pulse. And then she arranged for me to have a blood test for possible (more likely definite) anaemia.

They couldn't fit me in at the surgery for this blood test until Wednesday 8th July, which is just too long a wait, so I'm going down the hospital tomorrow morning to the blood test drop-in thingy. It's a 'fasting blood test', which means I can't eat or drink anything beforehand, so I must remember not to have my usual morning cuppa tea, lol.

Anyways, yeah, I got all the doctor stuff sorted out but aside from that I have been feeling like shite for the past two days. Had an almost constant headache (had to take some of my Co-codamol pills this morning 'cause it was so bad), been feeling really really tired, the lightheaded episodes have been just as, if not more, frequent, which I think the awful heat might be causing. So yeah, just been kind of stumbling through work, which is nice...

Still, one more day of work left, then I've got 4 days off, since it's Blur time on Thursday! Hooray, London here I come! Lolol. I bought a black overnight bag today from Clas Ohlson; was a good buy and the size is all but perfect, I think. Very much looking forward to going, but a little worried about my current craptastic health. Will just have to soldier through, lolol.

Bad health and Blur aside, I got the new Radio Times today as it has the most amazing Torchwood cover on it. Honestly cannot wait for next week's Torchwood-a-thon. S'gonna be amazing! :D

Anyways, I'll finish there. Will be off to bed fairly shortly as I have to be up and out before 9 tomorrow to go get my bloods done, woo.

2 MORE SLEEPS 'TIL BLUR! :D

June 28th, 2009

Mm'kay, so the bad news is, this is gonna be a bit of a rant, but the good news is, it'll be behind a spoiler cut, so you can skip if you feel so inclined.

This particular rant is gonna be about why I hated the series 3 finale of Robin Hood. So definitely don't click the cut link if you haven't yet seen it and don't want to be spoiled not that the epiosde is even worth hiding from spoilers for >.>

Herein lies the underlying issues I had with Robin Hood series 3 episode 13 )

In other news,

I TIDIED MY ROOM TODAY!

Well about half of it ^^; I got bogged down by it all (mostly when I pulled all my books/DVDs/CDs off my shelves and started trying to rearrange them. I realised how late it was getting and ended up bundling stuff haphazardly. So I'm gonna have to come back to it next weekend and do a better job, woe.

In other other news,

4 MORE SLEEPS UNTIL I SEE BLUR LIVE AT HYDE PARK!!

Yes, I am very excited! and might have had a snigger at MikeyWay's latest tweet. He's all excited about Blur live at Glastonbury, but there's no way he's actually there 'cause they're all busy recording the new album in LA or wherever. So my mean side has had fun imagining him watching it on the telly and lamenting the fact he's not actually there, and all 'cause they're recording a new album for their devoted fans, some of which (me!) are going to see Blur on Thursday, buwahaha! :D

Anyways, bed soon for me, since I have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow even though I'm not actually starting work until 11am. Damn my having to go to the doctors. They probably won't do anything to help anyways, bah D:

Saturday antics

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Adam and Matt
Work today wasn't actually as bad as I thought it'd be. I got in for 8am, spent the first 2 hours putting all the 'back to school' stock neatly on the shelves, whilst listneing to my mp3. The rest of the day was spent on till (god it was damned busy!), tidying the reference aisle, and keeping the charts gapless. The only time when it felt like the day was dragging was between 3 and 4, and that was saved somewhat when I got visitors creep up on me, by the names of,

Sal [info]saint_sorrows and Vee [info]saint_viticus

They totally crept up on me whilst I was sorting the buisness books (and then told me off for leaving books all over the floor, lolol). So that was a pleasant 10 minutes talking to them :D

Louise and Jenni met me from work at 5pm, and Louise bought me a glazed Krispe Kreme!! :DDD We then went to Afflecks and I bought some orange spiral earrings. Then Travelling Man, where Jenni bought X-men comics and I petted all the pretty Watchmen/Kingdom Hearts figures and geeked over the James Jean postcards.

We then went to Boots cos I needed shampoo, and I also bought some more eye-liner. Then we went to Scoop and Louise and I shared a Baileys ice-cream sundae; it was soooo good! even if I got ID'd for it ¬_¬

So all in all, it's been a pretty alright day, considering I was working an' all. Plus something really freaky happened on the bus this morning...

...I started reading 'Paint a Vulgar Picture' (the short stories collection of fiction inspried by The Smiths) on the bus on the way into work. The second story is by Mike Gayle and is called This Charming Man, and it just so happens that as I turned the page and started to read the story, This Charming Man suddenly popped up on my mp3 player. Now I had it on shuffle and have like 5gb or so of music, so you understand me being freaked out by this, lolol. What a coincidence!

Anyways, that was my day. I am very much looking forward to a lie in and doing nothing tomorrow, woo! And 4 more days until I go to London to see Blur! :D

And I'm back with that promised picture of the animatronic (maybe...) elephant from the Take That concert.

Photobucket

It was awesome! It moved like an actual real elephant! And Take That rode on top of it from the centre stage to the main stage.

Other standouts from the concert were:

-Relight My Fire - there was a freaky um...inflatable man with like a real face and its eyes followed you all over and omg scary! There was also lots of pyro, of course. And all round awesomeness!
-The old skool medley! They dressed themselves up as clowns (even put on their own make-up!) and then thrusted their way through a medley of their old hits. Amazing! :D (they also rode unicycles - or they all did bar Gary Barlow, who rode a little bike with stabalisers, hahaha)
-They finished with 'Rule the World' and I love that song. Stardust is such a magical film, hee~ And there were fireworks!! :DD

So yeah, in conclusion, Take That werre actually amazing and there really is nothing like a Take That show! Oh oh oh! How could I forget!!!:

There was a tightrope walker, two trapeize artists, and a tap-dancing drummer boy. Yes, A TAP DANCING DRUMMER BOY, WHO TAP DANCED ON A LARGE BASS DRUM!! :D So amazing!

Oh and the support acts were actually good for once. Gary Go was first and he is a waaay chill, laidback singer/songwriter and I liked some of his lyrics. The Script were great! The leadsinger has a fine arse, as I mentioned before. And I totally swayed and sang along to 'We Cry', hee~

And it was totally sunny and gorgeous like for the entire concert. No rain! (well aside from the fake rain during 'Back for Good', lolol).

Anyways, got Blur next week! I am total concert/gig person right now, lolol. Cannot wait for Blur! London and Ria and Blur and funtimes! :D

But in the immediate future...I have to work tomorrow, sadtimes. Doing 8am-5pm tomorrow, which means I have to get up at 6am tomorrow, bah D: Gonna sleep in soooo long on Sunday morning, lolol. At least Louise and Jenni are gonna bring me Krispy Kremes for when I finish at 5 tomorrow - at least they said they would *holds them to it*

Oh and one more thing before I finish up this entry that is turning out longer than I anticipated,

I FINALLY FINISHED MY BOOK! LET THE RIGHT ONE IN THE BOOK IS A LOT DIFFERENT TO THE FILM! MY GOD! BUT GOOD! :D

Gonna start my collection of short stories based on Smiths songs tomorrow, woo.

June 25th, 2009

Okay, proper entry tomorrow 'cause I really should be going to sleep (like an hour or two ago, lol), but just have to say that...

TAKE THAT WERE AMAZING!! :DDD

I'M SORRY, I KNOW THEY'RE LIKE POP OR WHATEVER AND I SHOULDN'T LIKE THEM (HAHA) BUT THEY PUT ON AN AWESOME LIVE SHOW AND...

THEY HAD AN ELEPHANT!! THAT MOVED AND EVERYTHING, THOUGH IT WASN'T ALIVE, AHAHA.

THEY ALSO HAD ALL THESE CIRCUS ACTS AND DRESSED AS CLOWNS AND PYRO AND JUST YEAH...EVERYTHING!

I will write more tomorrow night though, with pictures of the ELEPHANT! Lolol.

Oh and the guy from The Script has a nice arse. Just saying.

Night people :)

Tuesday made of fail

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Castiel downward glance
So today has been rather fail.

It's the same old, usual story. I went to bed last night with a headache and this morning I woke up with it. Now usually I'll take some of my uber pills, go to work, and gradually get over it (feeling incredibly drowsy all day 'cause of the pills) but not today! Today, the pills took the edge off, for a bit. But I honestly struggled through like 3 hours or so of work and eventually, at quarter to 1, Raye told me to go home. I was staggering around the shop like, I don't know, a blind person. I kept getting really dizzy and nearly falling over.

So I got the bus home (somehow avoiding chucking up even though I felt awful, stupid bus journey) and slept most of thre afternoon away. Adrian came back at 6, I got up about an hour later and had a cup of tea but still felt awful so went back to bed. Then I got up again and took one of my triptans, since nothing else had worked (these things are horrible - wafer things that dissolve on your tongue and leave a yucky toothpaste like taste in your mouth for ages). Then I went back to bed again.

Where I stayed until half 11 and then I got up, headache all but gone (hooray!) but feeling really gross still. I made a cup of tea but couldn't have a slice of toast like I wanted since there was no bread. So I found a bagel from the freezer that might have been there for ages, defrosted it, and had it with peanut butter on. I feel a little better for it, but not really.

Just really pissed off. Was meant to be going out to Satans tonight with work people, but of course that had to be pissed on, bah. Will probably go back to bed soon. Maybe I'll sleep properly this time. Got the day off work tomorrow, at least. Going to see Take That with my mum, lolol. Should be fun, they do put on a good show. Plus they're being supported by The Script and Gary Go, who are both chilled out, kinda easy to listen to, acts.

Feel so shattered now though, just hope I have more energy in time for the Take That concert tomorrow.

My longest shift ever! Lol.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Frankie and Gee
I was meant to do 11am til 8pm at work today but due to one of the evening team calling in sick (he declared himself suffering with motion sickness, wtf??) Rob and Suzanne asked me to stay 'til 10pm. I got an extra break (so 3 half hours) so that was okay, but dude! 11 hours in work! Not fun! Especially on my first day back after a week off.

We do now have PIC 'N' MIX! There are bananas and snakes and those fizzy, sour red strip thingies, and apple uh...tube thingies. I shall be purchasing a £2.99 bucket of them on Wednesday, to help see me through my 1-10pm shift, lolol.

I get excited over such silly things, ahaha.

I was gonna write more fic tonight but tis much too late and I am soooo tired. Just gonna catch-up on today's Hollyoaks and then sleep, methinks. At least I'm not going in 'til 10am tomorrow, heh.

Night folks :)

June 14th, 2009

So I've been offline most the day 'cause Demon have been fucking around their end and consequently our connection has been fucked pretty much all day. Sucks. We only got it back about an hour ago, or something, and then I had to do necessary things like washing-up, making sandwich for tomorrow's lunch, etc etc.

Man, I cannot believe I'm back to work tomorrow. My week off went soooo quickly! It's totally unfair! Why does the world hate me so? D:

I've had a fairly nice weekend though. We arrived back up north yesterday afternoon at like 4:30 ish. We had a BBQ and I got Louise and Steve round too and it was good. Then today we had another BBQ (might as well make use of the good weather while we had it - yes, it is freakin' raining as I type, it was bright and sunny at like 7pm *rolls eyes*).

But damn, back to work tomorrow. At least I don't start 'til 11am, I guess. Means I get an extra hour and a half in bed tomorrow morning, which is always good.

Not much else to say apart from...

I GOT A NEW TAKING BACK SUNDAY T-SHIRT!! I was wearing my dreamcatcher one to death, lol. So now I've got the black skyscraper one. It fits nice even though its not a fitted one, lol.

I also got the second Supernatural prequel graphic novel. It's hellava good! I got it yesterday and read it all yesterday, could not put it down. Much better than the first one (both art and story wise). Just honestly, so glad I got it. I recommend it to all SPN fans, definitely! :D

Anyways, I'll finish there and go try and do some writing. I'm making a determined effort to continue writing 'My Holiday Romance' 'cause I'm far too good at leaving fics unfinished, so I shall try and change that, mhm! Got about 900 words of chapter 9 written so far and have the rest planned out, so we shall see :)

Oh and one last thing...

I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH TBS - CATHOLIC KNEES! I JUST PICTURE AN ICKLE ADAM FALLING DOWN AND SCRAPING HIS KNEES, NNNNGH! CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT.

June 9th, 2009

The biggest news of the moment is...

...I ACTUALLY BOUGHT A FREAKIN' DRESS! ME, A DRESS, AND NOT AT GUNPOINT!! LOLOL!!

Here it is. Pay no heed to my gormless face, the bad lighting, and the fact mum cut my legs off cos I was wearing bright pink socks with cupcakes on, lolol.

Photobucket

Oh yeah, ignore the bra straps too. Man, I fail so hard, ahaha.

But yes! Me buying a dress! Hilarious! And what makes it even funnier is that I picked the dress up thinking it was a 12, 'cause that's what the hanger was. I didn't buy it straight away 'cause I was uming and ahhing over it, so they put it on hold for me. I went back for it later and we find out it's only actually a bloomin' size 8. So I get all freaked out and disbelieving and try it on again. It then, naturally feels tighter on me, lol. So I ended up trying on a size 10 and it felt much better, so I bought the size 10.

But yeah, I also bought a pair of grey skinny jeans from H&M and they were most definitely a size 12. So I guess my dress sizes differ somewhat depending on what clothes article it is, lolol.

Anyways, this all happened whilst I was out shopping with Ria. Once we'd had our fill of shopping, we went to the cinema and saw 12 Rounds, which was a fairly decent, entertaining action flick. I also thought it was hilarious the baddie was played by the dude who played Stuart in Queer as Folk. Lol!

I stayed the night at Ria's then, only she went to bed fairly early 'cause she had to be in work early this morning. So I sat up and wrote a shitload of notes for this fic that I've actually had in the pipeline for like a year, only it's changed drastically from how it was originally going to be. I'm rather excited to write it, though I feel kind of bad as I should finish the greek island fic first.

And finally, my other big news of the day...

...MATT CAME ROUND TODAY AND HE FINALLY GAVE ME BACK MY SUPERNATURAL BOXSETS!! :DDD

So I was gonna sit and marathon Life on Mars series 1 tomorrow but now I'm thinking I really want to watch season 1 of SPN, 'cause it's been so long, lol.

Anyways, I have an important fic update to read. I cannot believe I have waited this long to read Sarah's update of The Lonely God. Man, I am so EXCITED! :D

Meme pinched from [info]batmanboxers

1. Comment to this post with absolutely anything that you want to see of my real life.
2. I will post photographs of the requested items/people/places.

Depending on what you pick I may not get the photos straight away as I am currently in Norfolk, so anything in Manchester is uh...200 miles away currently, ahaha. Oh the curse of having two homes XDD

So yeah, Adrian and I drove down here today. We left rather later than was planned but uh...since I didn't go to bed until like half 4 this morning, it's hardly surprising I didn't get myself up until midday, lolol. But we arrived here just before 7pm, which wasn't so bad. I tortured Adrian with lots of TBS (and my bad singing) during the long drive, ahaha.

Mum, Adrian and I had some dinner and then mum and I watched Moulin Rouge (well, mum fell asleep, haha), and I cried through it, as usual. Oh man, but Ewan McGregor's voice really enchants me, nnngh. Love it so much. All the songs send shivers through me.

It's left me kind of teary now though (the film and the fact I'm back down here, with all the freakin' childhood memories crowding in around me; fucking nostalgia D: ) and I think listneing to TBS doesn't help. Everything Must Go can make me cry when I'm feeling happy, so listening to it when I'm teary? Not so good. Nnnngh love Adam's voice so much though. I could listen to him forever.

Anyways, yeah. I'm back in Norfolk and will be here until Friday. Stupidly, I kind of miss Manchester already, but at the same time it's kind of nice being down here again. How can my mind be so split? That said, I know I could never live down here full time again. It's just... not me anymore.

Heh, I shall stop going on now. I always descend into barely coherent rambling when I post in my lj. Ought to sort that out really, eheh.

JUST GOT BACK FORM JILLYS AND...

...I GOT ME A TAKING BACK SUNDAY POSTER AND A COUPLE OF BADGES!!! :DDD

They had them left over from the promo night I missed last Friday (cause of a stupid damned headache D: ) It's a poster of the New Again album cover and badges with the same picture on. I also, after much patient waiting, got to boogie on down to Cute Without the 'E'. Yay! Awesome night at Jillys, yes! :D

I also got a free CD of some band I've never heard of, lolol. I shall listen to it tomorrow, yes!

Anyways, it is nearing 4am and I have to get up at a half decent time as Adrian and I are driving to Norfolk, so I better go sleep very soon, hah.

Night all!

June 4th, 2009

The reason I didn't post an entry last night is that I had a couple of after works drinks and um...kinda fell asleep pretty soon upon returning home, lolol. The drinks were well deserved after our working our butts off getting the shop ready for the visit from Mrs Boss Lady of like everything, lol. Not to mention the Jeremy Kyle signing.

Actually, while on the subject of Mister Kyle, the signing went better than I thought it would. I really was properly dreading it, but it went okay and was even kind of fun, lol. The crowds that turned up were generally okay (there were the odd few that kind of annoyed me, but it was mostly good).

Jeremy Kyle seemed nicer than I thought he'd be. Though I felt kind of patronised by him when he saw me with a pile of his books in my arms and he told me to 'go sell my books!' and I was like 'oookaay' and he then said 'good girl'. Motherfucker! Lol. Becky and I also made him tea (he actually said, whilst signing the leftover books, 'can I get a cup of tea?' all divaish, sort of). Oh! and he ran up the down escalator to sign someone's book last minute, which was rather funny to watch, buwahaha.

So yeah, Jeremy Kyle singing went a-okay. The big visit also went okay. I think she was happy enough with everything. I'm just glad it's over with now. Soooo much stress leading up to it, lol. And, as I mentioned earlier, we went out for a couple drinks yesterday after work. Suzanne and Rob bought the dirnks in, was good! Lol. Though I got tipsy off like two glasses of white wine 'cause I hadn't eaten much all day, hence why I fell asleep so easily yesterday, lol.

Work aside...

I bought New Again yesterday! and have listened to it about 7 billion times since then, haha. I absolutely love New Again and Sink into Me, of course (I have been listening to them for weeks now, lol), and I also really like Carpathia and Everything Must Go. Adam's vocals on Everything Must Go just make me feel all tingly inside, much like when I listen to Ghost Man on Third. Love it!

Oh! and there's a three page article on TBS in this week's Kerrang! (the only reason I bought it, lol). It has loads in about the unrest between the band and Fred (though no doubt it's been embellished, this is Kerrang after all, lol). And the bit about Adam and his baby son made me go all 'awwww!'. I wonder if he and Gerard have been swapping baby tips. Their kids could play together and stuff, hee~ *is totally sad* haha. (yes, Bandit's arrival was well documented in Kerrang also, lolol)

Anyways, I better finish there and go snatch some sleep. Another hard days slog to get through tomorrow. 9am start, so not too bad. Then Friday, and then a week off!! I cannot wait!! :DDD

Heaven Help Us Now...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Castiel downward glance
Okay, gonna start with a bit of a mini rant. I'm not happy D:

I pre-ordered the CD/DVD package of TBS - New Again on play.com absolutely ages ago. Now I expected it to get sent out to me on the day of release, which was today. But not only has it not been sent out in time for me to receive it today, it's still not been sent out even now. And the reason why? They've not got any in stock yet!! DDD:

They have the CD but not the DVD/CD. So they're awaiting the initial stock of it still, which means I wouldn't get my copy until they got em in. So I've decided to take the gallant step to cancel my play.com order and go splash out an extra £3 tomorrow to buy it from HMV. It's £14.99 there but...I will get it straight away, and I think that's more than worth the extra £3, lol.

Man, sometimes play.com can be so damned unreliable D:

In other news...

...I worked my arse off today! Got into work for 7:30am as planned and spent the whole day, from 7:30am to 4:30pm (with two half hour breaks slotted in), cleaning and tidying, bending and stretching, to-ing and fro-ing, and all for this damned visit tomorrow. We better get good comments form hihs woman tomorrow, 'cause we have all worked our socks off. I'd never seen so many staff members in all at the same time before, lol.

And of course to make this much prepared for visit tomorrow even more exciting, we have another visitor on the very same day. Jeremy Kyle (yes, mister asshole talkshow host) will be coming in at 1pm to do a book signing. The shop will be filled with fighting chavs, oh the fucking joy D:

If I survive tomorrow I shall write some fic in the evening. Will probably be angry fic, full of teen dramas, drugs, fighting, DNA tests and lie-detectors, lolol.

(I only know this stuff 'cause I wikipedia-ed it; I've never seen the Jeremy Kyle Show before, like ever, lol).

Anyways, I'm absolutely knackered now, so I'm gonna finish my cuppa tea and get some much needed sleep. Urgh, tomorrow is gonna be hard, man.

May 31st, 2009

So, my weekend. It went something like this:

-Stayed in bed until the very latter part of Saturday morning (of course! haha).
-Went to the cinema with Henry in the afternoon. We saw Wolverine since he hadn't yet seen it, lol. Was still good second time round :D
-Watched Britain's Got Talent final in the evening. Got very excitable about it (yes, I'm sad, but fuckit, I think a good portion of Britain were right there with me, hah) I was over the fucking moon that Diversity actually won. They were my favourite right from when I saw their audition but I never thought they'd actually win. But that Transformers routine just nailed it for them. Yes!

It would have been treason if they hadn't won. Transformers AND Supeman in one short routine. AWESOME!!!

I also really liked Stavros Flatley, man. Greek dancing has never been so funny, buwahaha. I also thought Shaheen and Hollie put in amazing singing performances! Better than Susan Boyle, thanks very much. Though I do like her too. I pretty much liked all of them in the final (though I'm still pissed that Shaun dude got in instead of Gareth and Pava, bah)

Anyways, Britain's Got Talent aside...ahaha...

Today was spent mostly reading my book outside in the gorgeous weather we are currently experiencing (I doubt it'll last much longer, especially here in Manchester, haha) I also watched yesterday's Robin Hood. Omg! I actually got kinda teary over Gisbourne and that girl and I hate Gisbourne, lol. And next week's episode looks amazing!! Can't wait!! :D

Anyways, I have to be in work for 7:30am tomorrow. All in aid of getting the shop ready for this damned visit on Tuesday. So I better go sleep very soon. But I shall just leave you with a rather silly pic I took of myself earlier. I was messing about with my hair and camera and just...yeah, you know the score. Ahahaha.

The t-shirt I'm wearing is a Livid Thorn special. Livid Thorn is my friends' Cez and Nat's t-shirt company. They work really hard with it and their stuff is great! So I think you should check it out :) (/end sneaky friendly plug, ahaha)

Night all :)

May 29th, 2009

So I um...may have something new to worry about health wise. Yet another brand of headache to add to my list. And maybe - hopefully not - yet more pills to add to my already varied cocktail that I carry around in my bag.

I got home this evening and was rather promptly savagely attacked by a headache that was rather unlike my usual migraines. It had been building up during the last couple of hours at work. I took some painkillers as I was getting ready to leave work. I started feeling very sick on the way home on the bus. And then when I got home I flung myself straight down on my bed and buried my aching forehead into my pillow.

My mum came downstairs to tell me they were going out to get Chinese in for dinner. I told her I had a throbbing headache and she moaned at me 'cause it meant I wouldn't be eating, or whatever. Anyways, she and Adrian left, leaving me and Henry at home. They were barely out of the door when the pain intensified. I started sobbing 'cause of the pain and then everything kind of happened really quick.

Basically I couldn't breath out of my nose, so then I started breathing too harshly through my mouth, and this all resulted in me hyperventilating. Henry was brilliant, bless him. He stayed with me and tried his damned best to calm me down and just look after me. He also called mum up and she came straight back and took over, calmed me down fairly quick (though Henry had almost managed to do it by himself). It took a while to fully clear up though. I wobbled all over and all my limbs tingled and it was just AWFUL.

So anyway, the symptons match up with those of a Cluster Headache, which is currently worrying the fuck out of me. It would ruin my life if I suddenly started getting Cluster Headaches. There's no way I could deal with that sort of pain everyday for months on end, as can often be the case. I am actually kind of terrifed at that prospect. I just hope that it was just an unfortunate occurence and not something that will become frequent, like seriously.

This line in particular really describes how I felt earlier:

Some sufferers report feeling as though their nose is stopped up and that they are unable to breathe out of one of their nostrils.

I really fucking hate headaches, no matter what form they take. Bah D:

In slightly better news, I'm currently listening to Taking Back Sunday's new album on their Myspace. I just couldn't wait anymore! Plus I get the feeling play.com are gonna send my copy out late; they've not even started processing the order yet after all, ffs! Plus I should be going to Jillys tomorrow night for the TBS promo night and album playback. Gonna get me some free posters and shiz, woo! :D

Also, I know it's probably been flogged to death already but...

CONGRATS TO GERARD AND LINDSEY FOR THE BIRTH OF THEIR BABY GIRL

I may not entirely agree with what they've called the poor little thing but it's not up to me. I highly doubt they care what anybody thinks, so yeah, um...Bandit, good luck, chica :)
